Man, titles like this are disturbing:
Americans Staying Away from Vacation Time
or
Many Don't Make Time for Vacation
Where do they get this stuff? Mad Gringo is happy that everyone wants to produce more and more and provide for their loved ones blah, blah, blah. . .but really, were we put here to "blab and type"?
Probably not.
Do Mad Gringo a favor. If you aren't going to take to your vacation this summer because you're driving kids to camp, heading up a task force, or merging with IHOP - at least find time to take a nap. Shut the office door, turn toward the far wall, tilt your chair back and close your eyes. Remember, less than 20 minutes or more than 60 to feel refreshed. If they ask what you do in there, say you are practicing "Iberian Yoga" which you learned in Seville last spring.
Because work really just interrupts our free time, right?
Leave it to the Onion to show us the truth:
180 Trillion Leisure Hours Lost To Work Last Year
Go slow.
